Class-A CDL Local Company Driver

Shop 656 in Sanford, NC, is hiring a shuttle driver/shop maintenance employee. This position requires a Class A license with tanker & hazmat endorsements. 

Compensation and Incentives:

• $30.00 hourly pay
• $1200.00 weekly average 

Job Details:

• Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed.
• Shuttle trailers to and from local locations
• Must be willing to help mechanics when needed
• Confined space attendant
• Keep shop clean
• Run for parts

Schedule: 

• M-F 7:30 – 4:30 with the potential of weekend OT

Experience

• Must have 1 year of verifiable Class A Tractor-Trailer driving experience in the past 3 years 
• Past mechanic or shop experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• CDL Class A license
• 1 year of previous tractor-trailer driving experience that can be verified within the last 3 years
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement 
• High School diploma required
• ASE certification not required but recommended
• Phone and  basic computer experience are recommended 
• Past mechanic experience required
• Must live within a 40-mile radius or less from Sanford, NC
